Kuroshitsuji 157: More Mei-Lin chapters, this time telling us about her past on the
London streets. All very Dickensian, with a bit of a sharpshooter twist. And I
liked how boyish she was. Lovely evocations of Victorian London but as usual Toboso
misses out on a few details. She drew the new floral hall on the Opera House
rather than the old EM Barry one, and she’s a bit off the mark imagining lots
of very well-dressed women walking around Piccadilly unchaperoned with little
to no sign of the general middle-class population. Still very nice to see, even
for such a short chapter.
