One Piece 927: bit of a narrative jump, but the chapter did just
enough to set up what happens next, including having a satisfying mini fight
against underlings who underestimate the crew (one of Oda’s favourite ways to
spice things up) and a funny new character, O-Toko. Will we get a focus on this
part of the crew for a while?
Haikyuu! 330: brilliant as last chapter
was, this is still a match I don’t care about all that much. Certainly not to
the degree of the last big showdown at the trashheap. I’ve never paid much
attention to Aka’ashi, so maybe a bit of a spotlight on him would be good.
The Promised
Neverland 115: it’s pretty obvious
this Minerva will turn out to be some sort of imposter, but these new
characters with the Japanese names (unusual in this world) are fun and a bit of
a breath of fresh air after a long serious stretch. This side-mission feels a
bit tacked-on but could make for some interesting developments.
Dr. Stone 86: a bit too much crammed into this chapter. Currency
and currency manipulation, nobody thinking about what happened to the statues
buried after Fuji erupts several times, now making hot air balloons – it just
felt a bit too jumpy and everyone was a bit too eager to accept capitalism all
of a sudden.
