One Piece 946: not exactly the billed fight, but it wouldn’t make much sense for Queen to stand up to a Yonkou. Satisfying to see her stomp, but I’m wondering where things go with her now. And Big Mon’s facial expressions were great this time. Wonder how well Luffy will match up!
Haikyuu! 354: Azumane gets a great moment of smart play. Satisfying to watch, but not a great highlight of this tournament.
The Promised Neverland 139: It was obvious we’d enter this grey area of morality as soon as the narrative became Norman wanting genocide and Emma wanting to avoid it, but I like how we’re seeing it playing out through this side-story. I like Aishe a lot more now we have her backstory and I’m interested in seeing Don and Gilda developed more.
Chainsawman 27: I’m a little lost as to who lived through this and how many of the adversaries made it through the assault, but it was interesting seeing Makima’s overwhelming remote power.
Dr. Stone 110: heeheehee! Ginro-chan works rather well. A nice unexpected addition to this infiltration mission.
Samurai 8 07: on the verge of dropping this just skimmed the chapter and nothing was of interest at all. The fated meeting was incredibly anticlimactic, just brought together by an administrative decision. This needs to get more fun fast.

Beast Children 01: not what I expected from the title! Jump's new manga is based on a cute, short, pretty boy getting obsessed with rugby. Makes sense since the World Cup coming this year. This isn't terribly original, putting in the staples of sports manga right away - plucky young protagonist with a simple mind and a pure-hearted obsession, smart and devoted best friend and broody, tortured but highly gifted rival - and the homoeroticism is going to be bringing in the female fans too. I'll stick with this one!

One Punch Man (manga) 110: More nice art, but not really that engaged by this chapter. I know Atomic Samurai is strong. I care a lot more about various other fights.

One Punch Man (webcomic) 114-116: wow, a triple! And it's probably good that all were released together, as 115 would have been a bit dry as a standalone. The silly names can't quite carry it. I'm a little sad Flash didn't acknowledge how he almost died and his master schtick won't be funny long term like Genos' apprentice schtick. But I love reading new OPM and eagerly await more, even if it's still this less interesting ninja stuff.

Samurai 8 06: Eh. Hachimaru is an unlikeable brat and little appeals about this new princess character, or indeed the setup that brings her into the story. I’m sure many people will be dropping this manga soon.

Haikyuu! 353: Well, if we were going to focus on Azumane, it was going to be something plain like this. A long flashback to his childhood would have been lame. But this was fine for a bit more tension this chapter.
Dr. Stone 109: While this was a very puerile chapter, I suppose I kinda hope for puerile humour with this title. It was pretty fun. And yay, Ginro got to do something moderately useful, if hardly heroic. His ‘secret technique – let someone else handle it’ was hilarious. I’ve only just noticed how much like Usopp he is.
The Promised Neverland 138: I thought I’d be annoyed by this diversion, but I actually quite like these characters, especially the interesting new wolf girl, Aishe – even if she’s being put up on a bit too much of a pedestal. The friendship attempt was pretty funny.

Chainsawman 25: I’m guessing the casualty here will be this noble sacrifice, not just…everybody, which it looked like we might see. And now a pretty cool fight is on the cards. I’m liking this, and it looks like we’ll have major antagonists, bringing more focus to the story.
Boruto 35: Hrmm, the flashbacks to Naruto just remind me how much more invested I was in that story than either this or Samurai 8. But hey, I’m at least a little interested in what happens here, and the moment of the rivals coming to treat each other as brothers was both very cute and very much in the Naruto spirit.
