One Piece 931-2: Sanji’s scene was both interesting and funny. I
liked his new technology, wasn’t impressed by his unconvincing flashback, and
loved the humour of it. The terrible name and the place his thoughts
immediately went to when he realized he could turn invisible. I’m very
interested to see what happens with Big Mom, and also curious about just how
formidable Lord Orochi really is.
Dr. Stone 92-3: Despite how much I normally like genderless
characters I’m not a big fan of Francois. We already have so many hypercapable
characters, yet another is a bit dull. Senku’s first photo of the new era was
very cute though.
Chainsawman 8-9: I’m not sure how long the sheer momentum can carry
this series from battle to battle. Poor guy didn’t even get his coveted fondle.
Haikyuu! 336-7: It ended abruptly but I loved seeing Bokuto in
action and celebrated so much. I’ve got no doubt Karasuno will make it to the
final but I’m in two minds about who will win in the end. Totally happy to see
Bokuto take it. Sports manga makes me want to get back into fencing…
The Promised
Neverland 121-2: I liked the way we
could see Emma so conflicted but she went along with everyone else anyway. I
guess Norman will turn out to be an antagonist after all. But I don’t know how
this will develop from here so I’m more invested again. This was a nice
reprieve – I should really watch the anime too.
