One Punch Man 99.2: Another mini chapter with some silly cute little bots and what
looks like the decisive blow coming – though maybe there’ll be a little more to
emphasise how last-minute this all is. But I loved the imagined little
desperate Dotei-kun looking all raggedy and scared. Aww!
Haikyuu! 327: not that engaged by the other short guy but keen for the Bokuto
match. Furudate is so good at showing just what a character is like in a few panels
without making it super-obvious.
Dr. Stone 83: To the surprise of nobody,
the anime is announced! The colouring was super-nice this chapter, though. We
finally get it confirmed that the sister wasn’t really hurt, and moved on to
the next quest after figuring out a hydroelectric freezer that seems unlikely to
be as powerful as depicted. Ultimately, it just feels like the second arc got
cut short when it became clear it wasn’t all that interesting. But I’m actually
pleased the manga isn’t completely over.
HunterxHunter 389: urgh, this is just not enjoyable. I want to be one of those people
lambasting others for lacking the patience to read it all, but it’s just not
very fun or interesting and I’m certain it could have all been done way more
elegantly, with a much better balance of action and explanation.
