One Piece 924: Really interesting shift in mood, even giving the chapter a kind
of firm conclusion for an arc, even though it’s in the middle of the set-up.
Great to see Luffy put in his place, and it will be interesting to see him
operate from a dark frame of mind for a while.
HunterxHunter 388: geez, whole panels filled with text. And not even very interesting
text. The plot barely moved on at all. At least Kurapika was drawn nicely.
Haikyuu! 326: Yup, I definitely love Bokuto. And it looks like he might be the
opponent for Karasuno in the final. I kinda think he’ll win, too, and we’ll
have to see if Hinata and co can win next year. But it’s Hinata against the
other little spiker. Kind of detracts from the concept that Hinata is so
freakish when there are a bunch of others like him, though.
Dr. Stone 82: Ohh, even though the whole
chapter had end-of-a-series vibes, this is continuing in an interesting
direction. And yeah, I suppose the one thing hanging over the title that we
haven’t had answered is just what happened to the world!
The Promised Neverland 111: Wow, I wonder if anything in Jump has ever been
this dark or this visceral. That’s a lot of blood, a lot of pain, a lot of
screaming kids and a lot of direct confrontation of death. And the dilemma is
whether our main character can become a murderer. It’s still on the cheesy
side, especially compared with this series at its best, but it’s still a little
shocking…
