The Promised Neverland 004: The series took a positive turn with Ray involved,
a colder and more calculating figure. Perhaps, then, this series will go
towards a situation where the characters keep delving into the outside world.
We’ll see.

One Punch Man 65.2 – useful addition to the redrawn manga, showing
how Tatsumaki bothers to show up if Fubuki is in danger, and illustrating the
unbalanced relationship between them. But I really wanna get back to Saitama.
Haikyuu! 219 – I should really stop spoiling the anime now,
especially as I don’t like how the manga switches between nicely-drawn for
emphasis and really ugly for the rest. But it’s good to see the main duo
finally reunited!
One Piece 837 – this is the way that shounen usually works – a power-up
is the pinch-hit path to victory against the big boss of one arc, but then
becomes commonplace after that. But this guy is a swordsman, so I expect Zoro
to take him.

Boruto 004: though he’s about to be conveniently interrupted, Boruto is in trouble. I have to say, his reaction to his father’s praise was cute. It seems bizarre Naruto grew up to a man who can’t express his emotions, but on some level it works well.
The Promised Neverland 002: from last week’s chapter I thought this one might be off to a real running start, but this second chapter put the brakes on, and I’m not sure I like that. The kids have to slowly figure out their way out of the trap they’re in, but the whole chapter just established that and that the mother has a tracking device. Not enough!

One Piece 835: another kind of boring
set-up chapter, but it at least moved Luffy and co to a more interesting place
and explained a bit more about what they’re up against.
One Punch Man 65: also not a particularly
interesting chapter, focusing on a Fubuki fight. Some nice art, but nothing
very funny or compelling.
The Promised
Neverland 1:
a bold new grimdark direction for Jump.
Not sure how well the title will fare but I’ll keep reading. The strange thing
was how obvious it was, what was being set up here.
Haikyuu! 217: I occasionally read
random chapters of Haikyuu! to see if
Hinata is being cute. I wasn’t disappointed.
