Kuroshitsuji 120: a very striking side-chapter celebrating Halloween – and all the various other days celebrating the dead around the world. Well, perhaps Latin cultures could have had a bit of a mention, but ah well. Nice to see the mention of Guy Fawkes’ Day too. The art was extremely good and the sentiment was cute. Sometimes this title hits the spot…and Ceil gets to look adorable (albeit less so than Finny).
The Promised Neverland 008: This caricature gets worse every week. Still, in story terms things are interesting. I just hope they actually get to a plan of action very soon.

Haikyuu! 223: Ohhh, Kageyama the tyrant king is back. Teamwork is important…including social skills!
One Punch Man manga 66: some big-hitters got taken out in this filler arc, huh? And poor ole Sneck. Wonder what will happen to one-kick man once he doesn’t fit in the story any more?

One Piece 840: poor lil mini-Sanji. Surprising he just didn’t have the strength of his siblings growing up. But now may be a little different.

The Promised Neverland 007: Nefarious demons at the end! Pretty good art here. Progress remains slow but at least this time there was some.

Mob Psycho 40-69: I gave in and read Mob Psycho 100 when I woke up during the night and couldn’t get back to sleep. The anime is such a close rendition of the manga anyway, so it made sense to read. Got a while before I’m caught up though!

Yotsubato! 93: Ohhhhhh, the ridiculous cuteness of this chapter! Yotsuba is just so happy to be a princess. So cute. And so funny when Daddy just doesn’t get it.

One Piece 839: No big surprises this chapter. Sanji being put in his place with an obvious piece of blackmail. It’s quite a predicament but I’m sure everyone will forget to send the order when the time comes.

The Promised Neverland 006: The kids figure out new angles of attack while a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the mamas gives a little more insight into their backgrounds – including some rather dramatic face-grabbing.

Genshiken Nidaime 113-114: a trip to Nikko, eh? The pairs are pretty interesting, and I have to say, artificial as it is, all this excitement over Madarame and the competing ‘harem members’ is by turns funny and cute. It’s very simple storytelling but it is definitely an amusing soap opera.

Genshiken Nidaime 110-111: It’s been a long time since I read this title, because I couldn’t find it online, but it recently ended so it felt like time to return to it. And what a compelling couple of chapters to go back to. Madarame and Hato finally hammer things out together in a hotel room after a few drinks. Of course, nothing happened, but of course it also came incredibly close. This is a very different title from what it was when it started out and I really doubt these chapters will ever be animated, but they were very cute indeed. This honest side of Hato is so much better than when he was being manipulative, and he’s definitely much cuter as a boy. His faces in chapter 111 were downright adorable.

Boruto – 005: quite satisfying to see some displays of power, though some big players really ought to be doing more at this stage. And Boruto’s face when he hears Naruto talking about doping was adorable.

The Promised Neverland 005: A new threat appears, drawn in a way that…veers a little close to racial stereotype, let’s say. An interesting development, but the kids need a solid plan very soon or this series will become boring.

One Piece 838: Nami had a good moment, but the whole biscuit knight thing is kinda daft. Still expect that fight to be Zoro’s one.

Haikyuu! 220: Back to business as usual, and everyone marvelling at everyone else’s skills. Think I might stop again here to wait for the anime version.
