One Piece 851: hoorah, an old character to the rescue…and Brook getting to look cool. Wonder what Sanji will do now, though, knowing the truth.
Mob Psycho 100 vol 3 extra chapters: some fun little guest chapters for the tankobon – some funny moments with Shigeo and Dimple in the dream world, a cute story about Ritsu wanting to find how powers fit into his life, and a rather random little romantic-ish story about a girl named Emi. The middle one was probably strongest, and actually brought something new to the characters it followed.

The Promised Neverland 020-21: interesting chapters with an exchange of information with Sister Krone. I like how each side is using the other and teasing out information. This was a fine way of getting some slivers of new information, and hopefully we can move on to the real action soon. The extras from the tankobon were cute too.

Yotsubato! 95: the tension between Yotsuba and Yanda remains about the best thing in the series. Yotsuba’s attitude to Tokyo is funny too – will be interesting to see how she gets on…whenever chapter 96 comes out!

Mob Psycho 100 97.10-97.12: that’s not how decimals work. Oh well. This makes the most sense for not losing main characters in this series. Now there’s an external threat, and our heroes are exhausted. Where will this go, and will it require genuine self-sacrifice? I’m going to predict that it won’t.

One Punch Man manga 70: aww, stopping just where it gets good! These two have prepared one another now, and we’ve got the wig gags out of the way, so I’m curious to see what will come next. But of course it ended before that!

One Piece 850: I wanna know what Brook’s up to! But it was good to check in with Chopper and Luffy. This development with Sanji unfortunately strikes me as a bit of a cop-out. Much more interesting, I’d say, to have kept things the way they were – but more difficult to sort out, too.

Boruto 008: so there’ll be an anime, huh? I hope they make it limited and high-quality…the world doesn’t need Naruto back on TV. This chapter was mostly nice, though – a good fight with powered-up baddies and some great expressions on the artwork side. The intervention that turned things back again was a bit lame, but made a certain amount of sense.

One Piece 849: Chopper and Carrot have an easy escape, which was pretty cute. Nothing unsatisfying about it! Then Brook got to look pretty cool and we had an interesting cliffhanger. Good stuff!

One Piece 848: twists abound, and Brook’s plan is in motion. Still not much fun seeing Luffy in this state, but we’ll see what the other cast members have up their sleeves.

The Promised Neverland 18: nice cover image to commemorate the first tankobon release! Also quite satisfying scenes of emotion and betrayal here – with an interesting final cliffhanger. What’s next?

The Promised Neverland 17: a predictable turn at the end, but the ‘helper in the books’ is quite an interesting development. Time to get to the escape arc, though.
Haikyuu! 232: Shoes safely retrieved! And interesting to see some local place rendered here too.
One Punch Man 68.2: Tatsumaki appears and this annoying octopus thing is done with. So let’s get back to Saitama already!
Mob Psycho 100 97.7-8; Dimple has gone too far at last, and the next chapter will be very interesting. But the way we finally reached 100% was amazing. This series still has amazing laughs.
One Piece 847: a rare instance of Luffy not being able to stick to his plan, his story took a turn for the less interesting. More interested now in Chopper and Brook’s parts.

The Promised Neverland 016: Hrmm, the secondary characters are acting on their own and messing things up. I’m not sure this is a good development. It feels like more treading water. But it could be of vital importance. We’ll see.
